Sarracenia catesbaei is a naturally occurring hybrid between Sarracenia flava and Sarracenia purpurea subsp. venosa, found in regions where the two species overlap in the southeastern United States. This hybrid is especially recognizable for its dramatically flared peristome, which not only adds visual appeal but also allows for a clear view into the pitcher — making it easy to observe any trapped prey inside! These traits make it a personal favorite in our collection.
