Mosquito Bits - BTI Granules (Mosquito, Fungus Gnat & Blackfly Control)
BTI Mosquito Bits

Description

Mosquito bits or BTI granules is a type of bacterium found naturally in soils. It has been used worldwide since 1982 as a biological pest control agent to combat mosquitoes, fungus gnats and black flies. Several studies have been done on BTI, and have shown that it poses little to no threat to humans, pets and other wildlife.

How to Use:

  • 1 teaspoon of granules is enough to treat 25 square feet of standing water.
  • We have found a small pinch of granules is enough to kill off any larvae in a standard 10x20 inch water tray. A pinch can also be added to plant pots to provide on-going protection from larvae for approximately 2 weeks.
  • Alternatively, granules can be soaked in water for 30+ minutes and then used to water plants.
