Sarracenia × ahlesii, or Ahles’ Pitcher Plant, is a naturally occurring hybrid between Sarracenia rubra and Sarracenia alata. This cross blends the upright, narrow form of rubra with the soft green tones and red veining typical of alata. Pitchers are usually slender and lightly ruffled at the lid, showing green to bronzy-red coloration with prominent red veins, especially in strong light or late in the season.

Our clone of this hybrid produces deeply colored spring flowers, adding ornamental value even outside of pitcher growth. A great example of how hybrid vigor can enhance visual appeal throughout the growing season.
