Drosera dichotoma ‘Giant Form’

Drosera dichotoma 'Giant Form', or the Giant Forked Sundew, is native to southern Australia and New Zealand. It is a robust and hardy species capable of adapting and thriving in a wide range of conditions. We have personally had this plant survive -15c weather with no protection making it an excellent choice for growers in colder climates. D. dichotoma produces slender leaves that branch out into numerous points. Juvenile plants will often produce two growth points but numerous points will start developing as the plant matures. This plant readily spreads through its roots forming large clumps of sticky leaves. Due to the sprawling nature of this species we have observed them catching large insects such as flies and wasps which are often capable of escaping a sundews dew!
